Losing his Grip? 28JUL08 | 1817
« Previous Main Next »

os (8 1/2 x 11) | Stuyvesant Cove, just south of 23rd Street, on the East River;
Manhattan.
I'm certainly losing mine.
My brother would've been 69 today, but he died in 2005.
Unfortunately, due to his immense and all consuming GREED, my life is so much harder than I ever could've imagined it would be. He beat me out of a total of $12 million between 1984 and 2006, then he died nearly bankrupt.
Now his 3 sons are suing MY Trust for monies to be given them NOW, as my house in NJ is being sold to generate liquidity to continue paying the upkeep of the housekeeper and myself, even though they are REMAINDERmen!
I am livid.
They each have their own Trusts that are 3 times the size of mine ... and that is ONLY because my brother beat me out of my just share of $14 million from the sale of a big corporation belonging to my dad and my uncle. If he hadn't taken my share to his side, his sons would've had NOTHING.
And here's the kicker. My nephews stated via their attorney that my father's intent was for THEM to have money. Duh! They got it ... via their own father/my brother. AND, if I every adopt, MY child would get every last cent ... NOT them!
If the Judge grants them ONE penny upfront, I will have lost all trust in our judicial system.

Meanwhile, on a lighter note, this is the quote I've paired with this shot on my 5x7 foto/Quote series I sell in Union Square:
The fates lead him who will ~
him who won’t, they drag.
