The last time I remember experiencing 'the incredible lightness of being'
was the night Bobby Kennedy won the Californina primary. I jumped out
of bed and slapped the TV 'off' button, saying to myself: 'He's gonna' do it.
He's going to be the next President of the United States.'
And then I went to sleep.
That was 41 years ago.
But the next morning I felt no different than I do today. Something truly good
was permanently lost from the future landscape of America.
