Union Square Park East @ 15th ~ Kiosk, right; Manhattan. No one did.
Willy Loman was right.
Meanwhile, this past Saturday night (the 12th), the rubber came off one of my cart wheels. I had to double back 3 blocks up an incline (after a 13-hour day), but to no avail. It was nowhere to be seen/found. Rode home without it and ruined the underlying wheel hub.
And yesterday (the 13th), the new replacement wheel came off my cart as I was crossing 20th Street on 1st Avenue. It was the 5th time it did so since leaving my building 40 minutes before. I gave up. No SoHo sales again (prior 3 Sundays and next Sunday all = bad weather or forecast of bad weather which kept me/will keep me from going there). Had to go out and spend more money, instead, shoring up the transportation I already sunk money into back in April. It never ends.
For the record, I'd picked up 3 (three) LUCKY pennies Saturday night when I got back to Union Square East @ 15th. What was that about?
The only good news is that Friday was the 2nd best day of sales in the past year, and Saturday was the 4th best. Hmmmmmm ... If the weather would behave and my travels would go a bit smoother, perhaps I could make a living, rather than just barely surviving,
as a NYC Street Artist.
